Hull Daily Mail Icon News Hull & East Yorkshire News Humberside Police Sadly the man died at the scene, police said A man has sadly died after his car left the road and collided with a building at the service station near Pocklington, police have said. The crash happened shortly after midnight and the man died at the scene. Humberside Police said his family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. In the meantime, the force is appealing for witnesses. A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Officers are appealing for information after a man died following a single vehicle road traffic collision in Barmby Moor, in the early hours of this morning (Monday, 29 December). “It is reported just after midnight that a white Ford Mondeo was travelling along Broadhelm Business Park when for reasons not yet clear, the car is believed to have left the road and collided with a building. “Emergency services were deployed however the driver of the car, a 47-year-old man, sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers at this difficult time. “The road was closed to allow emergency services to work effectively.
