This list is based the most recent announcement from Hull City Council, which is released every Friday. While roadworks can be an inconvenience for drivers, they are essential for maintaining the roads and crucial infrastructure such as water mains, ensuring smooth traffic flow in the long term. Currently, several projects are in progress across Hull. This includes road closures, lane closures, and temporary traffic lights. While some projects have been ongoing for a long time, notably the A63 scheme, others are new to this list. A63 improvement scheme – St James Street to Market Place Start/End Dates: 01-May-20 to 31-May-26 Details: Major A63 Improvement scheme – full infrastructure change, operating under a Development Control Order. Lane and road closures until completion. Contractor: National Highways Annandale Road Start/End Dates: 08-Oct-25 to 16-Dec-25 Details: Meter installation near 133 Annandale Road. Two-way signals in place 9.30am to 3.30pm only. Contractor: Yorkshire Water Holderness Road Start/End Dates: 14-Oct-25 to 12-Dec-25 Details: Emergency repair of water main.
