Gas works on Boothferry Road delayed due to ‘engineering difficulties’

Northern Gas Network has announced that it has had to delay ongoing works on Boothferry Road due to “engineering difficulties”. The ageing metal pipework is being upgraded to ensure a safe and reliable gas supply to customers. However, current work on the road has had to be delayed with completion now expected later this month. Northern Gas Network plans to return to complete the work on Boothferry Road – near Holly Drive junction – on Thursday, July 4, and aims to complete the works by July 14. Although engineers will not be present on site, the gas distributor will continue to monitor the lane closure on Boothferry Road as it will remain in place until works are completed.
