Hessle Road closed as emergency services deal with incident

Hessle Road has been closed to all motorists as emergency services respond to an incident. Shortly before 12pm today (Sunday, April 28), a collision took place between a car and a police vehicle. Multiple police vehicles, an ambulance rapid response car and an ambulance were called to the scene. Three people are reported to have received treatment as a result of the incident. Humberside Police have issued a statement following the incident this morning … Emergency services attended Hessle Road in Hull this afternoon, Sunday 28 April, following a collision involving a car and a police car. The collision took place shortly after 11.50am near to the junction of Wellsted Street when a black Toyota C-HR collided with a police car. Road closures were put in place to enable emergency services to attend and the driver of the Toyota was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries, the extent of which are not currently known. Two police staff members, who were in the police car at the time of the collision, sustained what are thought to be minor injuries. Enquiries are underway and anyone with information or CCTV/Dashcam footage from the area, who has not already spoken to us, is asked to call 101 quoting log 190 of 28 April.
