The westbound carriageway was closed following the incident near Hessle at around 9.20am. The collision, which involved a green Hyundai i20 and a silver HGV, happened just after the junction with Priory Way close to the Humber Bridge. Both lanes on the westbound side of the dual-carriageway were closed while emergency services responded to the incident. Police say the driver of the Hyundai was “taken to hospital for treatment to injuries which are not thought to be life threatening”. The road was fully reopened by around 11.30am.
