A person hit by a car in Cottingham was taken to hospital with “serious injuries”, police said today. Shortly before 1pm on Wednesday, a man was hit by a car at the zebra crossing opposite Savers in King Street, according to a witness. They reported that Market Green was briefly closed to traffic while emergency services dealt with the casualty. A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Officers were in attendance on King Street in Cottingham yesterday (Wednesday 20 March) following reports of a collision involving a car and pedestrian at 12.50pm. “The pedestrian was taken to hospital to receive medical treatment for what are thought to be serious injuries.” Hull Live understands nobody was arrested following the incident.
