Council debunks ‘new’ camera debate at busy Beverley Road junction

A so-called “new” camera on the busy Beverley Road junction has been causing a debate as to what it's for – but the council has set the record straight. Posting in Hull Live's Hull Traffic & Travel Facebook group, a commenter asked: “Anyone else know what the new massive camera is on Beverley Road? Lidl, Clough Road and Cott Road junction, on the corner where Sainsbury’s is”. The speculative, and occasionally tongue-in-cheek, responses from other motorists suggested things from helping catch drivers on their mobiles, low-emission monitoring, and vaping.
