Flooding is affecting the A164 and a number of other roads around East Yorkshire this morning (Sunday). Problems are being reported in communities including Driffield and North Cave. Near Driffield, the A164 Beverley Road is impassable in both directions due to flooding from the A614 Kellythorpe Roundabout, to Wilfholme Road, Beswick. In North Cave, Church Street is closed due to flooding from Blanshards Lane to B1230 Appleton Lane. Townend Lane is also closed in both directions from the B1230 Newport Road to Cliffe Road. The Met Office warned that downpours could lead to flooding and travel disruption. Rain is likely to die on this morning, with sunny spells later. Temperatures should reach highs of 9C. Meanwhile, the B1253 is blocked in Boynton, near Bridlington, due to fallen tree near Main Street, and the A63 in central Hull and Holderness Road, east Hull, near East Park, are affected by ongoing roadworks.
