Hull motorists should ‘plan ahead’ as A63 Castle Street scheme…

Hull drivers are advised to plan ahead with their journeys as the A63 Castle Street scheme reaches a new milestone. The major scheme is creating better connections for motorists and pedestrians in Hull and the latest stage of works relates to a key city centre junction. The next stage of National Highways’ A63 Castle Street scheme will see the reopening of the Queen Street entry slip road but also the temporary closure of the Queen Street westbound exit slip. The closures will allow for further safety improvements at the junction of Market Place and Queen Street, following the opening of a new, fully-lit pedestrian walkway at High Street. Michael Upshon, National Highways project manager, said: “We’ve now reached a critical part of the scheme as we progress the dig for the underpass at Mytongate. In the meantime, drivers will be advised to follow a signed diversion route for Queen Street.
