Series of A63 overnight closures announced as £355m project moves…

A new series of overnight closures on the A63 has been announced as the mammoth £355m project moves towards another key milestone. Starting on Sunday, March 10, they will see one or both sides of the road shut to traffic from 8pm and 6am on numerous nights over the course of the following four weeks. The closures will be in place to ensure that essential work at the Market Place and Queen Street junction can be completed. The work will allow a phased traffic switch from April 8, as well as removing the pedestrian crossing at the Market Place. From Monday, March 11, the entry slip road for Queen Street will also be closed for up to nine weeks.
