A Hull man said people park so badly in his street he has been late for work on several occasions due to being blocked in. Mike Woodhouse lives in the Stirling Street area of west Hull, and says people from out of the area park there for MKM Stadium which is about a 15-minute walk away. Stirling Street also has several lanes of houses coming off it which are only accessible by footpath and have no parking, including Glaisadale and Alandale Avenue. A small council-run car park on the street is often overcrowded with cars blocking each other in, he claimed. These problems combined make parking “horrendous” and he thinks parking permits for residents are desperately needed.
